Mary Alice Herrington Broussard of Baton Rouge died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Carpenter House after a short illness. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on January 16, 1925, she was a life-long resident of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert H. Broussard, Sr., her son, Robert H. Broussard, Jr., her brothers, Oscar, Leo and Elmo Herrington, and son-in-law, W. E. "Bill" Hubbs. She is survived by daughters, Rita Broussard Hubbs of St. Augustine, Florida and Anita Broussard Hima of Denver, Colorado, eight grandchildren, Gerald Hubbs, Jimmy Hubbs, Kevin Hubbs, Robert Hubbs, Ricky Broussard, Rene Broussard Jahkne, Tammy Broussard Bloyde, and Dale Broussard; and 15 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staffs at Flannery Oaks Guest House, Ochsner Hospital and Carpenter House. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Carpenter House are welcome. Memorial celebration to be held at Flannery Oaks Guest House on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at 2 p.m.

Ms Mary Alice was a wonderful joy to be around. It was my honor to take care of her. She was truly an angel on Earth. I will miss seeing her smiling face. God bless
