Uncle Clay taught us what a good husband and dad could be. He was warm, fun, delightful, and loving. He was quick with a smile and genuinely cared about others. He knew his way around a jambalaya, gardens and birds, and innumerable fishing spots. He had a great and gentle soul and a warm heart. We will miss you dearly but will cherish our memories of the wonderful times we shared with you.

Still in shock... He was the wisest and kindest man I have ever known. When I went home before this deployment we looked at each other and both knew it would be the last time... I hope I can be half the man to my family that he was. Love you Pawpaw...

Hedbergs: Clay and dad (Lloyd) worked together for many years, and I worked at Ormet two summers while attending LSU. Clay was a great mentor for me. He, Sam Spelligene, and I fished farm ponds around Gonzales. Great times and a great man, Clay Hedberg. Our prayers are with you.

Ina it's sad to see another Ormet man pass. My Dad passed two years ago and I still miss him. Your dad coached the St, Theresa pee wee football team and I never forgot that. He lived a good life I am thankful to have known him and played for him as a 10 yr. old.

To Aunt Betty and the 4 girls, Uncle Hedberg's memory will always include a big smile, a little joke and a plant or seed to share in the other hand. I have detailed great and loving memories of him back to when I was about 3 years old. I'll share some when I see you all on Monday. Love you All, Laura
