A resident of Hammond, he died early on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at North Oaks Medical Center. He was 66. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and served two tours in Vietnam. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center beginning at 9:00am. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am. He is survived by his loving daughter, Dixye Ann Brewer, two brothers, Wayne and Cindy Brewer and Jerry and Judy Brewer, sister, Charlene Burnethorne and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Roxie Brewer, Sr., brother, Homer Brewer, Jr. and sister, Linda Hinson. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
