To the survivors of Billy Nugent--which is the way I remember him from the 2700 block of Lavender St. in Edgewood of Gentilly in New Orleans.
Especially to Arnold, Earl, Lillian, Evelyn, and Rosalie--the Nugents I knew from St. James Major elementary school AND the neighborhood of the 2700 block of Lavender St.--mentioned above
I remember when Billy got his motor bike, and he took some of us kids for a ride, pulling us on skates up Lavender St.to Franklin Ave. I remember other things, too, but too lengthy for this Guest Book.
It appears that Billy lived a full and productive life, so my condolences are to all of you survivors, but especially to the Nugents who I know, who lived next to my Aunt Ollie and Uncle William Jacobs during the 1940s & 1950s.
