Born June 22, 1943, Carole Ann Adair, 67, a native of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at Teche Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Carole led a full life; she loved her husband of 40 years, Vincent; her job as secretary to the mayor at City Hall, and her extended family. Her two nephews were the light in her life. Carole enjoyed reading and read several newspapers on a regular basis. She also enjoyed TV (especially the shopping network). Carole will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband, Vincent; a sister, Janelle Michel Sanders and her husband, Ron, of Port Allen; and nephews, Ryan Sanders and family, of Denham Springs, and Eric Sanders and family, of St. Amant. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Stella Leonard Michel; maternal grandparents, Dorvilien and Alice Leonard; and paternal grandparents, Justilien and Inez Michel. Visitation at Hargrave Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. until service of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Carole will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.

Vincent and family, I was so shocked to hear of Caroles' passing. I enjoyed working with her during my time at City Hall. She was a treasure and I know she will be missed by many. I will keep all of you in prayer.
