I only just heard the news a few days ago.. I didnt.. or just couldnt believe it, hoping it was just made up & not really true, but there on the internet was the news. Watching Mitchell and Glenn every week was my favoritist part of swamp people, always hoping they were on that weeks episode. Watching there funny antic's they became like a part of the family,so the passing of Mitchell was like losing a favorite uncle. I will always remember him laughing and having fun with Glenn. My most favorite memory will always be when they got dressed and all ready to go out hunting, then sitting down on the porch to shoot squirrels! I will miss you, but always remember your cheekiness!

I felt so sad on receiving the news of Mitch's death. It is very unfortunate that I only knew of his death last week when last year's epiosodes were aired in this part of the world.

I truly enjoyed watching then, and will sorely miss him.

I pray that his brother Glenn musters courage to go on.

These guys are great for the show. Gone way to soon. Seems like Glenn looked up to Mitchell, I know his death is still hard on him. My heart goes out to the Guist family. I can only imagine how far their success would have gone. Troy is still my favorite. I guess because he is the "star" of the show and we were introduced to him first. The Guist brother were not introduced until season 2. I would loved to have spent a weekend with them on the bayou. I connected with them right away. Living off the land, and keeping that alive, just like us Lumbee Indians. I have a friend (Jimmy Brayboy) that is about the same age and look of these guys. He has a beer with him all the time and is always upbeat and happy. Plus he can cook good to. For that reason I think I connect to Mitchell and Glenn. I don't personally know any of the cast members, but I feel like I could just walk in their house and they would say, "grab you a chair, rest ya bone." "You want something to eat?" "Man, I made some killer rabbit stew." RIP Mitchell.

With deep sympathy and a heavy heart ,I write these words for your family. I am so sorry for your loss. May you find peace in all the pleasant memories that you have, and may they comfort you, and bring you strength, in your time of grief. May you also find comfort with the thoughts below:
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
This verse found @ Isaiah 49:13 has comforted me, I hope that t comforts you as well.
