A native and resident of Donaldsonville. She died at her residence on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. She was 46. Visiting at St. Peter United Methodist Church, Houmas St., Donaldsonville, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Gaynell Simon. Interment in Protestant Cemetery, Donaldsonville. Survived by her parents, Leroy Whittington, and Jimmie Sharon Butler Washington; her grandmother, Goldie Butler; her husband, Wilbert Landry, Jr.; her daughter, Kiana Nicole Landry; a son, Corey Jamal Odom; a sister, Mieko Favorite and husband Donald; two brothers, Leroy Marty Whittington and Bryan (Stacy) Whittington; a grandchild, Malaysia Odom; mother-in-law, Wilhelmina Landry; aunt, Melissa (Malcolm) Whittington; uncles, Michael Munson, Wilbert (Betty) Butler, and Winston (Doris) Butler; sisters-in-law, Denise (Wendell) Broden, Jacqueline (Timothy) Louis; godchild, Mexoshia Whittington; and Derrick Munson, nieces, nephews, cousins, including Michael Munson, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her son, Malachi Landry; two brothers, Titus Whittington and Anthony Whittington; an uncle, Elmond Butler; a brother-in-law, Michael Landry; and a father-in-law, Wilbert Landry, Sr. Brazier-Watson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
