Mrs. Tombar, Fred and Tym please accept my deepest sympathies and know that you are in my prayers.

Although I only spoke with Mr. Fred a few times (many years ago), I "liked" him the first time I met him. However, I grew to "respect" him the more I got to know Tym.

I "assumed" that a man with Tym's character had a father worthy of respect. And as I read all of the kind and sincere comments from family, friends, and associates alike ... I'm encouraged to see that my "assumptions" were correct ... and the respect I feel for Mr. Fred is well-deserved.

So I pray that God will give you all strength not to "get over" his death but to "celebrate" his life ... and the impact he made on so many.

The loss of a love one is so hard to face,
you just want to hide,
go some where and escape!
But death is something,
we all must go through,
I know it's hard,
when it's someone you loved and knew.

Just know now,
he is in a better place,
no more hurt or pain shall he face.
It seems unfair and yes this is true,
but he is in Heaven now
watching over me and you!

God has called him home to rest!!
And he's being well taken care of
Because God knows best!

Mrs. Pat and Family when I read the text you sent to me it took days for it to actually register. Mr. Tombar was such a great man. I came into your house to help out in the office however left with so much knowledge from both of you all. I appreciate it all so much. He was one of the first to tell me to get raise my GPA, 3.25. And ever since he told me I have had straight A's for the last three semesters with the exception of one B 3.54. I appreciate the help you both have given me over this short period time I have known you all. Mr. Tombar will continue to live here on earth through everyone spirit he has touched in some way including mine. Ms. Pat I love and will see you soon.

Dear family I am sorry for the lost of our loved one (my paran), he will be truly missed and still loved. This is a time to rejoice not grieve because during this battle he fought hard and long, but it was his time to rest. We may have lost a soldier, but we have to be strong to win the war. This is not a goodbye, but just a simple see you later alligator. I know there will be times we may cry,but cry because you are happy about the good times you spent with him. I love y'all and we will get through this together.
R.I.P paran we'll see you again some day. We miss you,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

For several years in the 1980's, F.C. Williams was ranked the top Middle School on the East Bank of New Orleans. Mr. Fred was a big part of that. Given the current state of education in NOLA today, and the unfortunate passings of dedicated educators like Mr. Tombar and others, the community will never be the same. Plus, pipelines for dedicated educators have been severely ruptured. Peace and Blessings to The Tombar Family!

Mr. Tombar sold my Mother my 1st set of Encylcopedias. I remeber the day as if it was yesterday. He was so devoted as a teacher & so eager for His students to learn, that he came to my home to ensure I got the books. May God Bless His entire family. You have my deepest sympathy.
