Rock was a longtime carpenter and contractor, starting work at the early age of 13 under his father's guidance. He worked on many buildings in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Rock never met a stranger, and his countless friends remember his fun loving ways that were unique to only the "Rock." He was a previous member of Fennwood Country Club, and enjoyed playing golf. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Gonzales Healthcare for their wonderful care during his last year of illness. "Rock" is what I always knew him as. When he came here to Gonzales Healthcare and I noticed who he was I knew we were in for a ride of a lifetime. He always had that beautiful smile and loved his music. I will miss and forever remember Mr. Rock !!!

Our prayers and thoughts are with the Ponson Family. I met Mr. Rock from his sister Barabra, who was close friends with my mother's Family (June Clement Guzzardo). He was quite a character, and a very fun person to be around, he had a knack for making the people around him happy!
