John Budwine Obituary

John passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 80 years old and a native of Port Arthur, Texas. He was a retired mechanical engineer at Ciba Geigy and an Army Veteran. Visitation will be on Monday, July 15, at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16166 Harrell's Ferry Road, from 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment in Louisiana National Cemetery with military honors. He is survived by his wife, Nell L. Budwine; 4 sons & 3 daughters-in-law, Fred O. Budwine & wife Joy, of Covington; John R. Budwine, Jr. & wife Nancy, of Apex, NC; Terry M. Budwine & wife Debbie, of Highpoint, NC; and Damian P. Budwine of San Diego, CA; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was a 1955 graduate of Texas A&M where he earned degrees in mechanical engineering and industrial engineering. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and his sons will be honorary pallbearers. He was a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
