Jimmy Charles Brown was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Jimmy was born on April 20, 1946 in Lake Providence, Louisiana. He is survived by his children Pamela, Clara, Roslind, Lisa and Jimmynell Burnett, Jala'Quette Monetegut, Jimmy C. Gastinell and DiJon Berry ; his step-children Karl, Monique, and Sandra Gastinell; Shawn and Monique Burnett, Marvin and Deion Screen, his two brothers Rev. Joe Brown and Eddie Brown Jr., two sisters Judy Watson and Gloria Simmons of San Antonio, TX, twenty nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; a devoted friend Crystal Walker and a lifelong friend of Leeauthor Gastinell and Irvenia Alfred and his four dogs Orero, Barack, Ceasar and Sasaha; also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Screen Brown, father Rev. Eddie Brown Sr. and mother Marie Rose Brown; brother Jude Watson, daughter Michelle, grandson Asian Burnett and step-son Chris Gastinell. The Funeral Services will be held at True Vine Baptist Church, 2008 Marigny Street, New Orleans, LA 70117 on Saturday, September 7, 2013; Rev. Joe Brown Officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. Funeral Service 10:00a.m. All neighboring churches are invited to attend. Burial will be at Providence Memory Park in Metairie, LA.
