Hal Brown, Jr. (79) passed away on Wednesday, August 28th after a brief illness. He was born in Baton Rouge on June 5,1934 to the late Hal and Ella (Strahan) Brown. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University in New Orleans. Hal worked for Boeing and Pan Am on various projects related to the space program and retired from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in 2000. In addition to his parents, Hal was preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia (Mary Virginia Ledbetter) and sister Dorothy Jean Dupuy (E.J).
