Forty - three years ago today Kathie Lou took her first steps. I can remember it as if it was yesterday. I was at momma's and we were sitting in her big kitchen drinking coffee. Kathie Lou was playing in the middle of the kitchen floor and all of a sudden she stood up and walked about 6 steps!
She never changed from that sweet baby girl she was then. Even at that young age she would flash the same big smile that she gave me the last time I said good bye to her. I always remember her on this day every year.

Kathryn was my cousin. My best memories of her are from when I worked at LSU SVM while she was getting her DVM. She had an excellent spirit - everything she did had to be the best! And she was so funny - always had a big smile on her face. I will miss you Kathryn. I'm glad to know that you are with Maw Maw now, and we will meet again one day. :)

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Mrs Wilkinson only once but that was enough for me to see how brave, loving, considerate and funny she was. It was obvious how much she loved you all and it was an honor to have met her.

So very sorry for your loss. Dr. Wilkinson was a great woman and vet. Very caring. She sent a card when my wife's dog passed after helping him live long after other vets said he wouldn't. We followed her to whatever place she landed because of how personable she was. She made a house call for us after one of my dogs surgeries. This doesn't just reflect how much she loved her work but how much she would go out of the way for other people. My wife and I are praying for your family.

Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Gidget, Donovan, Ricky, & Children,
I am so sorry for the loss you are "Kathy Lou" was a a remarkable young woman. No matter what, she always had time for others. I remember the day Daddy had his heart attack, when I got to the hospital, she was already in the emergency room checking on him and "fussing" at him to be sure and do what he was supposed to! He knew better than to argue with her! I know that you all have tons of wonderful warm memories of her....may the love of the Father and those memories bring you comfort and peace.
With love,
Kelly Louise McIntyre Richmond

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies.
Loving and kind was my sweet Kathie Lou. I will miss our long talks, texting and sharing about Jesus and His goodness.
God spoke to my heart this morning, that this was not the end, but the beginning of eternity for Kathryn!
“ Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come unto judgment, but has passed from death unto life. “

I remember Kathryn bringing her whole family to the hospital to visit with her Uncle Billy and bring him gifts conveying her love for him and caring about his well-being. The twins were only about a year or so old at the time. Billy always spoke highly of Kathryn, as proud of her as though she were his own daughter! She was also there for him,, along with Ricky, when Billy was taken by Jesus this past June to be with Him. I'll always be thankful for the McIntyre family and their care for their loved ones. Ricky and the children have been left rich memories of Kathryn, and so have Ronnie and Gidget of their daughter. Much love and prayers go out to you.

My sympathy goes out to Dr. Wilkinson's family and also her work family. Such a sweet and compasionate lady and doctor. I remember bringing my lab Sandy and Sandy was a pretty big dog so instead of trying to get her on the table to check her out Dr. Wilkinson just sat in the middle of the floor and did her exam right there. Sandy loved that. Gave her alot of kisses. Sandy wasnt afraid after that. Dr. Wilkinson will be missed by alot of people and their pets.

My heart felt sympathy to the family. "Kathy Lou" and I lived next door to one another as small children. (Strauss Street) One of my fondest memories is sitting on the back door step and nibbling on dog biscuits together! May God Bless you all during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear the news. We have known Dr. Wilkinson and she has been our family Vet for 15 years. We followed her from AVS to Jones Creek because of how amazing, compassionate and intelligent she was. She even came to our house to help our boxer after surgery and gave us her cell number for emergencies. To put it simply, she was the best. During the time I knew her, she always talked about her family. She gave so much to so many and will be missed dearly. Keeping her family in our prayers.
