Mrs. Gardner,
I told you many times that I love you. I met you when I was a student at Xavier University of Louisiana and you treated me like I was your own. You helped me get permission to tutor those students from St. Augustine's High School in physics. You made sure I ate dinner even when I did not always have time. You let me stay in your guest room when I had to stay for summer school. You were my mother too. You and Mr. Cornelius danced at my wedding and you rejoiced when I got my PhD. We share love. Mrs. Gardner brought so many gifts to my life. I will never forget you. Genevieve, Rudolph, and Christiana thanks for sharing your mother with me.

To My Extended Family,
I was deeply sadden to learn of Ms. Sallie's passing. There was never a time in my life that Ms. Sallie was not a major presence. I take comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with Mr. Gardner and my parents. She was a wonderful kind person and will be sorely missed but never forgotten. May GOD bless this family during this time.

I will never forget how Mrs. Gardner acted as a mother to me after I lost my mother. She always wanted to "fatten me up," because to her
I was too skinny. I looked up to Mrs. Gardner like a mother, and felt so good that Genevieve and I got to share an outing with her when I was in New Orleans. Rest in Peace Mrs. Gardner, you are with our Heavenly Father, and will always be remembered by that lovely smile that was always there to greet everyone. Genevieve, Rudolph and Christina, always remember that your mother was a Great Mother, who loved her family dearly.
