Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lois Meaux Broussard, 97, who died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Johnathan Janise officiating the services. Mrs. Broussard enjoyed sewing, cooking and bowling. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club and also a member of the Holy Rosary/St. Frances Cabrini Ladies Altar Society. She is survived by her son, Sidney J. Broussard and his wife Terri of Kaplan; two grandchildren, Ryan M. Broussard of Baton Rouge and Allison C. Broussard of Lafayette; two nieces, Linda M. Abshire and Darlene M. Greene both of Lafayette; and one nephew, Ken Meaux of Houston,TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney M. Broussard; her brother, Remic L. Meaux; her parents, Amede and Edna H. Meaux; and her nephew, Marion Meaux. The Broussard Family would like to thank Dr. Randall Faulk, Hospice of Acadiana and all the staff of Kaplan Healthcare Center for their kind and compassionate care. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being prayed 7 p.m.; Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
