With great sadness we announce the death of our beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. Tom Q. Hudson passed away on Thursday February 21, 2013, at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Nan, four sisters and one brother. Survived by his daughter, Jennifer Long and husband Richard; two grandchildren, Craig Long and wife LaDonna, Casey Long and wife Dané; five great-grandchildren, Connor, Courtlin, Noah, Luke and Caleb; also survived by sister Madelyn McMinn and husband Charles of Biloxi, MS, brother-in-law Bob Moore, sister and brother-in-law Rhen and Nell Pierce of Meridian, MS. He was a resident of Livingston, Louisiana and native of Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Lowe Brothers and Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, and was a successful Real Estate Broker in Louisiana for many years. He was a member of the family of Satsuma Baptist Church where he was much loved and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Satsuma Baptist Church on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 3:30 p.m. followed by memorial services at 6:30 p.m. The services will be conducted by the Revs. Andrew Voss, Brad Delaughter, and Dr. Steve Horn. Burial will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi. He fought the good fight, He finished the race, He kept the faith. "Well done my good and faithful servant." The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Children's Village of Mississippi.

Brother Tom was one of the sweetest men I have ever met. He had such a gentle nature about him. Our church family will certainly miss him. My prayers are with his family.
