Larry Smith Obituary

Larry Van Smith of Gonzales, La. transitioned to God's eternal care on October 2, 2013 in Houston Texas. A member of Bethany Church since 1991 and part of the church's praise and worship ministry, Larry is well known as an anointed vocalist. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserve for 20 years. Larry is an active member of the AmericanLegion, Howard Johnson Post 557 in Gonzales. Larry leaves a legacy of love and devotion to family. He is survived by his wife Veronica; his daughter Latasha; his son DeQuan; two beloved granddaughters; his parents Henry and Ida Smith; and countless relatives and friends who will cherish their memories of "Jumping Larry". Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Bethany Church South Campus, 11107 Honore Lane, Baton Rouge, La. 70809. Viewing at 9:00 am and Religious service at 11:00 am.
