A resident of Geismar and native of Dutchtown, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the age of 86. He was a retired mechanic with Allied and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WW II. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine Barber Kling; son, Gary A. Kling, Sr. and his wife, Judy Brownie Kling; sister, Alice Kling; Special Niece, Darlene Sibley; grandchildren, Gary A. ""Andy"" Kling, Jr. and his wife, Jody, Bryan J. Kling and his wife, Andrea L., and Chad M. Kling and wife, Andrea P.; and his great grandchildren, Sydnie, Parker, Presley, Gabrielle, Brennan, Paxton, and Kensley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Luce Ann Kling; four sisters and three brothers. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume on Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church from 9:30 am until Communion Service at 10:30am. Burial to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Andy Kling, Bryan Kling, Chad Kling, Ricky Vaughn, Carey Poche, and Luke Peppers. Honorary pallbearer is Sonny Sibley.
