Leon (a Retired Ironworker) was born on November 8, 1944, in Plaquemine, LA and passed away on June 24, 2014 his place of residence in Prairieville surrounded by his family & friends. He was a native of Plaquemine, LA and resident of Prairieville, LA. He recently rededicated his life to the Lord in which gave us all peace at knowing he is in Heaven rejoicing with no pain. Thessalonians 4:14-17: For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord, Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Survived by his companion Lea Harris; six daughters, Sherry & Daniel Thrift, Paula & Richard Mohler, Kim & Heath Mayers, Alicen & Brandon Setoudeh, Ashleigh Badeaux, Madison Badeaux ; five sons, Leon Louis & Rhonda Badeaux, Leon Badeaux, Jr., Micah Badeaux, Shawn Badeaux & Jacob Badeaux; brother in law, Benny Tullia; and a special family friend Maria Velazquez. Sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Lilly & Joseph Wenstell and father, Louis Leonard Badeaux, daughter, Karla Faye Badeaux, brother, John L. Badeaux and sisters, Alice Tullia and Irma Orillion. Pallbearers will be: Leon Louis Badeaux, Micah Badeaux , Shawn Badeaux, Austin Lucarino, Bryce Mayers & Hunter Badeaux. The family would like to give a Special Thanks to Jay Evans and the staff with Amedisys Hospice Care for all your help and support during this difficult time.
