A lifelong resident of Grosse Tete, she passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 54. Visitation at New Light Baptist Church, 76765 Cedar St., Grosse Tete, on Friday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the REv. Clyde Mcnell. Interment in St. Peter United Methodist Church Cemetery. Survived by five sisters, Janis W. Seecoomar, Mary E. Johnson & Husband Loyd Jr., Yvette Augustine & Husband Marcus, Ramona Washington, and Viola M. Culpreath & Husband Richard Sr.; three brothers, Charles Washington Sr., Floyd R. Washington, Jonny L. Washington and Wife Cheryl; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives, and friends. Professional services entrusted to A. Wesley's Funeral Home, Maringouin, (225) 625-2383.
