A resident of Baton Rouge and a former resident of Picayune, Miss., she died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, in Baton Rouge at age 83. She was a homemaker/-seamstress, a native of Texarkana, Ark., and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Visitation at McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune, on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 11 a.m. until funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Burial in Thomas Price Cemetery, Wiggins, Miss., at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Scott Cappleman. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Green Brown; parents, William and Vada Burchfield; two sisters, Jill Wedgeworth and Geraldine Speights; and brother, Dan Burchfield. Survived by her daughter, Marcia and her husband, William Gregg, of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Melissa Blake and her husband, Scott, and Jared Gregg; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Benjamin Blake; and two brothers, James Burchfield, of Springfield, and Mack Burchfield, of Carriere, Miss.
