A homemaker and a resident of Gonzales, she died Wednesday morning, Jan. 9, 2008, in Gonzales. She was 42 and a native of Amarillo, Texas. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, Jan. 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Saturday, Jan. 12, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lloyd Himel. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. She is survived by her mother, Audrey Henderson Akridge, Prairieville; three daughters, Angel Dies, Dallas, and Tiffany Dies and Brooke Dies, both of Gonzales; sister, Michele Akridge, Galvez; three brothers, Elisha Akridge Jr., Waco, Texas, George Akridge, Livingston, and James Akridge, Prairieville; and grandson, Nathan Keith Williams. Preceded in death by her husband, Keith Dies; and father, Elisha Buddy Akridge Sr. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kidney Research Foundation.

Patty and I were best friends in High School and she was my Matron of Honor when I married. I am saddened to hear of her passing. Please accept my deepest condolenses.
