A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a giving and helpful friend to everyone, he died at 11:36 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, in White Castle. He was 78, a lifelong resident of White Castle and a retired supervisor for Kean's Laundry with 25 years of service. Visiting at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, White Castle, on Tuesday, May 6, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jules Brunet, celebrant. Entombment in the White Castle Mausoleum. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Ida Mae Hernandez Bergeron, White Castle; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Jeffrey Sciortino, Julie and James Tullier, Jeanie and Carl LaGrange and Susie and Ronald Adams; son and daughter-in-law, Lennie and Marion Bergeron; sister, Shirlyn Kees; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Barbara Bergeron, Lydia and Richard Parker and Clifton Hernandez; grandchildren, Dax and Derek Bergeron, Jay and Jon Sciortino, Ashley and Brett Broussard, Andrea and Randy Martin, Kevin and Jennifer LaGrange, Andy and Jake LaGrange and Travis and Evyn Adams; and a great-grandchild, Zane Martin. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Aline Landry Bergeron; brother, Aubrey Bergeron; and granddaughter, Britni Adams. Pallbearers will be Ronald Adams, James "Luffy" Tullier, Carl LaGrange, Jeff Sciortino, Dax Bergeron and Kevin LaGrange. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Sciortino, Jon Sciortino, Derek Bergeron, Andy LaGrange, Jake LaGrange and Travis Adams. Special thanks to John Barbee and Comfort Care Hospice, Ramona Boudreaux and all friends and family members who have helped us through this tough time.
