A native of Norco, La. and a resident of Dutchtown, he died on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was 79, a U.S. Army Veteran. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St. in Gonzales on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 from 8 a.m. until chapel service at 11 a.m. conducted by Glynn P. Braud. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery. Survivors include his sisters, Nihla Morgan and husband J.P., Amelie Gulino and husband Nathan and Nella Duplessis; brother, Glynn Braud and wife Barbara. Preceded in death by his parents, Adonice Joseph and Palmyre Hymel Braud, and brother-in-law, Glenn A. Duplessis. Pallbearers will be J.P. Morgan, Ron Gauthreaux, Steven Braud, Chad Gulino, Mike Gulino and Sam Duplessis. Please sign the online guestbook at www.ascensionfuneral.com.
