Faye P. Spann passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at 1:20 a.m. at Baton Rouge General Mid-City at the age of 63. Visiting will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 from 12 until religious service at 2 p.m. at Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ben Spann; one daughter, Joyce Veal; three sons, David (Belinda) Veal, Derrick (Yolanda) Veal and Eddie Lee Patrick; one brother, Robert (Barbara) Butler; three step-sons, Gregory Cotton, Benjamin Spann and Carlos Smith; two step-daughters, Toni Wyatt and Tonya Wright; seven grandchildren, Crystal (Quartez) Barnes, Tremaine (Diyanna) Veal, Tiffany Veal, Randy Martin, Jarrell Martin, Lexus Martin and De'Shaun Veal; one great granddaughter, Serenity Barnes; two sisters-in-law, Georgia Turner and Shelia Spann. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Murphy, and a son, Jeffery Veal.
