Passed away at his home in Gonzales, LA at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Born in Gonzales, LA on July 24, 1921. He was a retired pipe fitter with Local 198 Pipe Fitter's Union. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. He served as a Right Wing Radio Gunnery Officer and was wounded on November 26, 1943, in Germany. He was honorably discharged as a Technical Sergeant and received the Distinguished Service Cross, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon, and the Victory Medal. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1022 North Burnside Ave., Gonzales, LA on Friday, April 26, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Conducted by Rev. Gary Belsome. Military Graveside Service will include Dual Taps at Hope Haven Memorial Gardens, Gonzales, LA. Survived by his wife, Aline Boudreaux; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Sam Burgett; son, Irvin A. Boudreaux; brother, Oakley Boudreaux; eight grandchildren: Harold Jason Burgett and wife, Tisha, Cory P. Burgett, Toby C. Burgett and wife, Amanda, Casey L. Burgett, Jeanne Elise Boudreaux, Dorian Michelle Redden and husband, Jerry, Jenee Nicole Wilkinson and husband, Tim, Marcus Albert Boudreaux II and wife, Brandy; and nineteen great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Danielle Marie Boudreaux; his parents, Lawless and Lucinda Boudreaux; four sisters; and eight brothers. He was co-founder of the Ascension Parish Library and founder of the Ascension Parish Retarded Children's Association. A member of the American Legion Post 81, Ascension Parish Police Juror and the Ascension Parish District for Soil Conservation.
