John 3:16 tells us that "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." On the early morning of March 1st 2018, Anita Lou Maurello, 77 and one of God's truest servants, was welcomed into the gates of heaven from the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Anita was a 48-year resident of Walker and a homemaker with a lifelong devotion to her husband and children. She was someone incredible, someone who naturally conveyed an outpouring of love for people without limitation. She was a woman who reflected kindness, compassion, and love in all that she did. Anita was an active member of Bethany World Prayer Center where she worshipped and strengthened her unwavering Faith for over 40 years. Her strong-willed commitment to serve the Lord defined her as just the honorable woman she was and leaves a memorable legacy for all those who knew her. Anita is survived by her one and only beloved husband, Jimmy Maurello Sr of 58 years; her 4 sons Jimmy "Joey" Maurello Jr, Micheal Maurello, Charles "Chuck" Maurello, and Chad Maurello; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister Wanda Kay Rossin Mayers, all of which she loved dearly. Anita was preceded in death by both her mother Mildred Anita Rossin and father Willie Walker Rossin Jr, as well as her brother Ricky Lynn Rossin Sr. Anita's move from death to eternal life will be recognized together with family and friends at 2pm Friday, March 2, by a graveside service at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Deepest sympathy go out to the Maurello Family, most especially to Joey and Michael, both of whom I work with here at DOTD. May God hold you all in His Mantle of Love and Comfort in the hard days ahead, and may memories of her and what she was to each of you be of great comfort. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Our true condolences and love from the Mauney family. Anita was a true Christian woman of God who spent her life serving God and her family. An amazing kind and sharing person whom I had the utmost respect for. I remember all the good times, as a brother-in law, at her house with family and friends sharing our love and also love for music with our family band. I was honored to help teach music to her 4 boys and share all our love and the great times. We will all miss her but know she is in God's Kingdom as one of his Saints. God Bless the entire family.
