A woman of courage. A brave woman. A woman who fought for fairness. All must learn and respect her journey.
Her home should be a monumental historical site, a day named in her honor, and a street named after her as well as a school.
My condolences go out to her family and all who loved and respected her.
Thank you Albertha for all your hard work towards making a better and safer world.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
When my work day began today, I look on my telephone console, and each call I received each morning I knew for sure one of them was Alp calling, and then when we would have our usual saying to each other and there was always a fuss going on it was never a day with one. Desiree reminded me that we would even fuss at social affairs as soon as we met. We shared a happy, loving fuss. My day will never be the same here at Iberville Parish School Board. Alp I truly will miss you.

We are deeply saddened by Mrs. Hasten's departure from her earthly home. We will cherish the memories of her as a friend and school board member. Mrs. Hasten leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared our educational journey through and with her. We know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death, because they continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Our Prayers and thoughts are with you.
