Rudy "Sonny" Dixon age 78 passed away Monday June 10, 2013 of COPD and Heart Failure. He was a native of Honduras born to Mary Norman Dixon and Paul Ellis Dixon. Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Hannah Dixon and his son Rudy Dixon, Jr. daughter-in-law, Terry Johnson and his cherished granddaughter Aeryn Cassandra Dixon, also three sisters, Lorreine Heinsz of Covington, La, Halsie McMab of Denham Springs, LA, and Mazie Movassaghi of Lafayette, LA. and his brother, Bruce Bodden of French Harbor, Rotan, Honduras; he was predeceased in death by his brother, Clifford Dixon. Sonny will be dearly missed by many close friends and neighbors, including Steve Wilson, John Ebanks, Robert Banks as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation Saturday, June 15th beginning at 11:00AM followed with a Funeral Service at 1:00PM in the chapel at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, entombment will be at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, 1322 Louisa Street, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to your favorite Cancer Organization.
