Don was not only a very good friend, but also a great architect. Don and I have been good friends and fishing buddies for over 30 years and I could always call Don when I needed help in my appraisal business. Don also designed my home in Pecan Acres and there were a lot of comments from the sub-contractors about how well this home was designed. I will miss Don and it is still hard to believe that he is gone. My love to all of his family. Bill Cobb

Mr. Don you have been such a blessing to my family. You took mom so many places that she had never been or ever seen, and done things with her that she had never experienced. You were a great husband, wonderful stepdad, and a great grandpa. I can remember the first time I meet you at moms, you where sitting on the arm of the couch. With a smile from ear to ear. I could tell then that you would take good care of my mom. I can remember her saying I don't know about him, he does things I never done. Then you took her on a second date and she said I think he is the one for me. Sixteen years have gone by, doesn't seem that long ago. I was pregnant with Paige and you was so excited. You picked me up from work and we went looking for baby furniture. You was the only grandpa Paige and Dean knew and that was special because you had never had any children. You took us in with open arms and would so anything for moms kids and grandchildren. You or so missed and it hasn't been a month. I thank God every day for putting you in moms life as well as ours. You will be forever missed, until we meet again. Love and miss you so much. Wes,Wendy, Paige and Dean.

To Dons family,
Don and I graduated from LSU Architecture together and we sure had fun struggling together to get out. After Don came back to BR we renewed our friendship and participated in many AIA functions together. I will always remember his smile and the joy we had talking about fishing. I will add Don and his family to my prayer list. Sincerely,
Fred Grace
PS: I would attend the funeral except that I live in North Carolina during the summer.
