It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Kenneth Floyd Miller of Amite, LA, resident of Denham Springs, LA. Born on April 26, 1941, Ken passed away peacefully at home Sunday, March 4, 2018, in the arms of his wife of 47 years Mary Garrison Miller. He was preceded in death by his mother Ara Edna Carrier and father Willard Ponder Miller. He is survived by his sister, Glenda Miller King (Wesley Ray) of Denham Springs, LA. He is also survived by his sons, Matthew Ponder Miller (Lori Knight) of Denham Springs, LA, and Jace Garrison Miller (Renée Plauché) of Mandeville, LA. Ken enjoyed his three grandchildren: Tyler Nicholas Miller, Leah Brooke Miller, and Gracie Laurel Miller; Also, Jessica Lauren Goodwin is a child who Ken and Mary hold close to their hearts. Ken served in the United States Navy where he was a crew member on the first submarine to reach Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then attended Southeastern Louisiana University, Nicholls State University, and enjoyed a 30-year career in the offshore oil industry. Visitation will be Saturday, March 10th at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Avenue, in Denham Springs, LA at 3:30 p.m. followed by a service at 5:00 p.m.
