Ruth and her cousin Judy went to camp in North Carolina when they were about 12. She still talked about it and remembered the bible verse they learned until the end of her life. Judy continued to keep in touch with her by letter throughout her stay at the nursing home. This delighted Ruth

Ruth had a wonderful musical ability. She used to play the organ or the piano in various churches through the years. At one church in particular she sang with a trio and used her talents for the Lord. She would also play for the patients at the various nursing homes.

Ruth was a wonderful nurse to her patients. She would stop by on her way to work to pick up something extra that one of the patients needed.
