Ernest L. Hebert Sr., 82, a native of Napoleonville, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 9:00 am until funeral time at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am with a burial following in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Aucoin Hebert; his son, Ernest "Butch" Hebert Jr. and wife Katie; his two daughters, Tina Perkins and husband Joseph and Arleen Domingue and husband Randall; his two sisters, Marie Millet and Shirley Naquin; and five grandchildren, Blair Perkins, Reese Perkins, Tyler Hebert, Jacques Hebert, and Arielle Domingue. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Hebert and Irma Blanchard Hebert; one son, Paul Henry Hebert; three brothers, Robert, Ridley, and Felix Hebert; six sisters, Pearl Simoneaux, Mae Aucoin, Pansy Cedotal, Levie Cavalier, Mildred LeBlanc, and Jeanne Talbot; and two grandchildren, Robert Hebert and Zachary Domingue. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served in the Korean War. After returning from Korea, he attended Nicholls State University and was in the first graduating class at Nicholls State University. He was a retired office manager with the State of Louisiana Department of Labor. Landry's Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of services.
