Edsel T. Jones Sr. passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2103 at the age of 91. Edsel was a native of New Orleans, La and resident of Covington, LA. Edsel is the loving Husband of the Anita Cooper Jones for 65 years. Son of the late Amelia and James Jones. Father of Kathryn Judge and Edsel T Jones Jr. Also survived my many friends and family. Edsel Sr. proudly served his country during WWII, a Navy veteran of the USS Yorktown and Block Island. After he moved to Covington, LA in 1959 and opened Covington Air Condition in the 60's enjoyed coaching youth football and Baseball. Edsel loved his Saints, LSU and Tulane football, he also enjoyed John Wayne cowboy movies, watching birds, mowing his lawn, growing tomatoes in his garden until the very end. We will love and miss u forever until we meet again. Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service in the chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Tuesday July 16 at 730 pm. Visitation will begin at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Bagnell & Son Funeral Home of Covington, LA. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church of your choice.
