Berthelot Sr., Cleveland Joseph "Lu Lu" A retired fisherman and a resident and native of Pierre Part, he was entrusted to God's care on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at his home in Pierre Part. He was 94. Visitation on Thursday, March 3, at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and again from 7 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, with the Rev. Clarence Waguespack, celebrant. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley Berthelot and Paul Cedotal, Donaldsonville, Thelma Berthelot Mabile and Leonard, Belle Rose, and Catherine Marie Berthelot, Thibodaux; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Berthelot, Napoleonville, and C.J. Berthelot and Lynette Aucoin, Pierre Part; a brother, Steve Berthelot, Pierre Part; two sisters-in-law, Beulah Berthelot, St. Martinville, and Nellie Landry, Pierre Part; eight precious grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise Blanchard Berthelot; daughter, Rose Mary Berthelot; father, Dozila Ulysse Berthelot; mother, Adea Blanchard Berthelot; two sisters, Adeline Berthelot Breaux and Addie Berthelot Hue; and two brothers, Gleason and Risley Berthelot. Pallbearers will be Ricky Cedotal, Dwayne Cedotal, Corey Cedotal, Rusty Cedotal, Michael Berthelot and Shaun Berthelot. Mr. Cleveland thoroughly enjoyed gardening and dancing. He danced until September 2004, when he was diagnosed with cancer. He will be greatly missed by all and the family is comforted knowing he is dancing again in a better place.
