A Memorial Service will be held for Lois R. McGowan at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Molly Lea Drive, Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday November 10, 2012. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by the memorial service. Lois (Rankin) McGowan, 90, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Clairton, PA, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, in Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, in Baton Rouge. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Born June 18, 1922, in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Harriett Rankin. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles W. "Chub" McGowan; daughter, Bonnie (Hugh) Templeton of Loveland, Colo.; son Donald (Helen) McGowan of Baton Rouge; three grandsons, Bryan (Deirdre) Templeton of Seattle, Wash., Glen (Heather Craig) Templeton, of Waltham, Mass., and Donald (Sharon) McGowan of Fredericksburg, Va.; great-grandchildren, Serena, Olivia and Bodi McGowan; nieces and nephews.
