To the family of Ralph E. Jackson:
You are very fortunate to have been associated with such a remarkable young man. I know he will be missed.
We met Ralph when he was 10th grade at Booker T. Washington High School. I had the sentiment then he would excel in some type leadership position. After separation from him for many years, we met again and just as imagined, he was on his way to prominence. I never saw him again but whenever friends saw him, he never failed to ask about me. My family admired him. He graduated from high school with my sister. I was unable to make the trip but she managed to attend the final service.
Just ask God for strength to continue and time will help to heal the sadness.
Sincerely,
Jean and Gail

My most fervent condolences to the family of my Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity brother Ralph. My most cherished memory of him is when he showed love and his acceptance of me after a humongous blunder I made concerning the unity and integrity of our fellowship. In only his no-nonsence kind of way and without him giving me a verbal lashing--of which was probably due--he made me feel a part of even though I was an off-base neophyte. His spirit will forever be a part of my life and I'm grateful to have played a small part on his. R.I.P. my brother.

Brother Ralph Jackson, you and I walked the same path in the Spring of '72 as young men and line brothers of Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity at Southern University. It wasn't until 2005 when we reconnected in Baton Rouge that I realized what an outstanding man you had become. I must thank the Lord for bringing you back into my life even though time spent on earth never seems long enough to our loved ones. If it can be of any consolation to the family, rest with the knowledge that Ralph will forever be at peace and we too shall meet again. I love you brother.

I extend my condolences to the Jackson family. May you be comforted in knowing that he has completed his earthly journey and that his life touched many others in a positive way. My brother (Willie "Sippi Red" Sanders) was one of his bandmates at SU. The friendships I have observed among this group of men over the years has been genuine and awesome to observe.
