Sallie was more than just an aunt to us.... She was a mother to Marion and me.... She was a grandmother to our children and to our grandchildren... We all loved her dearly and her death leaves a void that we will never be able to fill....It's hard to believe that we will never see her stick her head in the den door again and say, "KNOCK KNOCK, anybody home?" And one of us answer, "Come on in, we're in the kitchen"... She will always be loved and missed... God bless you NaNa....

Henry, I know that your mother and mine are having a big time in Heaven right now. I didn't know anything about her passing until 6 hours AFTER the funeral; you KNOW I would have been there. My prayers are will all of you.

My heart broke when I read of Aunt Sallie's passing. I have such wonderful memories of her picking up all the children from the Pre-k at Silliman. I would ask them who is picking the up and they would say Aunt Sallie. She was one of a kind, always had a smile on her face, and always making yo smile with her. There is no doubt that she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time of sorrow. God Bless.
