Delton Chenevert Obituary

Delton "T Boy" Chenevert 89, a resident of New Roads, LA and of Livonia, LA. He passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday September 5, 2013. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion and VFW. He proudly served his country in WWII during the war he was captured in Germany and was a POW for six months. Visitation will be at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads on Friday September 6, 2013 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Visitation will resume at St Mary of False River Catholic Church in New Roads on Saturday September 7, 2013 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Theresa Patin Chenevert; daughters and son in laws Brenda LeBeau and husband Lloyd, Jr. and Diane Seawell and husband Johnny; grandchildren Cathy Ledet, Christie Garafola and Tracy Vincent; great grandchildren Michael LeBeau, Cade Garafola, Cameron Garafola and Alyssa Vincent and great great grandchild Levi LeBeau. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his father Charley Isley Chenevert; mother Antonia St. Romain; step father Joseph L St. Romain; brothers Charlie Chenevert, Paul Chenevert and James Chenevert; and one sister Viola Chenevert. Pall bearers will be Michael LeBeau, Brian Garafola, Jason Vincent, Paul Chenevert, Larry Chenevert, Donald Chenevert, Jessie Patin and Lloyd LeBeau. Honorary pall bearers will be Jessie Patin and Gordon Chustz. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Anna Mae and Jessie Patin and Louise Parker for all the help and care they gave to my husband and our daddy. Also all the family and friends who called and visited. A special thanks to Dr. Gerald Miletello, Dr. Robert Helm and all the nurses and staff with Pointe Coupee Hospice for their great care of Delton.
