Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at a 10:30 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Beverly Anderson Oliver White, 82, who died on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Emeritus Assisted Living in Lafayette surrounded by her family. Interment will be in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reverend Wallace Millsaps will officiate the funeral services. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, George White; one daughter, Jeanne Long and her husband, Kevin; one son, Mark Oliver and his wife, Reneé; one brother, Sidney Anderson and his wife, Carol; six grandchildren, Noah Oliver and his wife, Marie Elizabeth, Claire Caffery and her husband, Joshua, John Michael Oliver, Samuel Oliver, Connor Long and Francis Long; and two great grandchildren, Rosalie Caffery and Moses Mark Caffery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Emaline Stearns Anderson; her first husband, Gene T. Oliver; two sisters, Patsy Robinson and Elaine Brown; and one brother, Leonard Anderson. Beverly Anderson Oliver White was born on July 28, 1931 in Houston, Texas. She was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her adult life, where she worked as an educator for the Lafayette Parish School System for over 18 years until her retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. White, known affectionately as "BeBe" by her grandchildren, will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Timothy A. Maragos on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM .
