Funeral Services for Mr. Hiram Carl "Bud" Minzenmayer, Sr., 77, will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, July 21, 2014 at New Life Church with Pastor Lane Payne officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 1:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. A native of Bartlett, TX and a resident of Abbeville Mr. Minzenmayer died at 2:05PM on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Eastridge Nursing Center. He retired after 25 years of proudly served his country in the US Navy which included service during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Navy he became a Site Manager for Boeing Petroleum and retired from there after 20 years of service. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alma Vaughan Minzenmayer of Abbeville; two sons, Hiram Carl "Buddy" Minzenmayer, Jr. and his wife Miriam of Littleton, CO and Edwin Carl "Eddie" Minzenmayer of Marietta, GA; a daughter, Sharene M. Boudreaux and her husband Larry of Delcambre; two sisters, Nancy Wooley of Davilla, TX and Mary Nicholds of Katy, TX; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto W. and Hilda Lehman Minzenmayer; a brother, Edwin Minzenmayer; two sisters, Irene Minzenmayer and Joyce Cooper; and a grandchild, Abigail Minzenmayer. Serving as pallbearer will be members of his family.
