Joyce Major Morgan, a native of New Roads passed away at 3:44 pm on Monday, January 9, 2017 at her home in New Roads, La. She was 90. Visiting at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Roads on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 11:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Msgr. Robert Berggreen. Entombment in St. Mary's Cemetery. She is survived by her three daughters, Joanie Jarreau and husband Frank of Lakeland, La., Veronica DuBose and husband John of Lafayette, La., Ernestine "Tina" Dugas and husband Greg of Carencro, La.; four sons, John "Buck" Morgan and wife Pauline of Morganza, La., Jeff Morgan of Justin, Texas, James Morgan of Pineville, La., William Morgan and wife Mary of Destin, Florida; sister, Juanita Vass of Lafayette, La.; eight grandchildren, Josh Morgan and wife Kelli, Trey Morgan and wife DeAnn, Taylor Morgan and wife Ashley, Allison Morgan, Caleb Morgan, Deonna Bossier and husband Bo, Matthew Jarreau, Hayden Morgan; and five great grandchildren, Tristan Morgan, Preston Morgan, Vivian Morgan, Holden Wheeler and Morgan Wheeler. Preceded in death by her husband, Louis B. Morgan, parents Leroy B. Major and Burnis St. Dizier Major, sisters Phoebe Jones and Burnis "Blue" Gayle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Pointe Coupee. NILAND'S FUNERAL SERVICE INC. NEW ROADS, in charge of the arrangements.

So sorry for your loss. Used to enjoy talking to Ms. Joyce when she would come into Raymond's Pharmacy. Such a beautiful person.
