Toni was a resident of Capitol House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and former resident of Westmoreland Volunteers of America Group Home, both in Baton Rouge. She was 65 and a native of New Orleans. She died Friday, May 20, 2011, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Volunteers of America, Capitol House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice for the care they provided Toni. Visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, Wednesday, May 25, from 10 a.m. until a Catholic funeral Mass at noon. Burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie. Survived by a brother, August J. Amoroso Jr. Preceded in death by her father, August J. Amoroso; mother, Rose Drake Amoroso; and sisters, Jonell Amoroso Dolsen, Maria Amoroso and Sue Amoroso Robichaux. She was loved by all her family and will be sorely missed by family and friends. Pallbearers will be members of the family.

You've gone to be with the Angels. I surely will miss you and that sweet smile of yours.
Your in my heart all the time. I think of you often. You were always such a happy girl. You will be missed by a lot of people both family and friends. Now your back among some very special people up there Nana, Papa, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, your sisters Maria, Sue, my Mama Jonell and lots of others. You take care. Until then remember I love you. Rest in peace.

Great Aunt Toni, I only got to meet you once, but I'm glad I did. My life is better for knowing you. I know you are truly missed by all of our family, but I'm happy that you have moved onto a much better place. We love you!!
