Memories and Condolences
for Doran Baxter

Not sure what to say?

For all of Doran's family, I am so sorry for your loss and I pray that the Lord will give all of Doran's family the strength to carry on. Try and remember that Doran is in no more pain or suffering but at peace right now. I can remember just about every time I went to the old Baker Walmart, Doran was in uniform and working as their Security Guard and would always speak to me since we knew each other from living next door to his Grandparents, Mr.& Mrs. Jackson (fine people) and living one street over from Doran, his Mom and Dad and all of his siblings and also going to school with him and several of his siblings. I can also remember him directing traffic on Plank Rd. in front Bethany Church. Doran must have been a hard worker cause usually everytime I saw him he was in uniform and probably worked hard when he was off duty also. To all of Doran's family and you Dorothy I pray that the Lord will give y'all strength and peace in your hearts to keep on marching forward. He fought the good fight and I'm sure he fought it very hard. Try to remember that and that's all we can do while we are here on this old earth. But One Fine Day it will be so wonderful with no more pain and no more suffering and no more tears!! With Love and my deepest sympathy, Debbie Waldrop Callender

I remember Doran's first day on the road...it was with me and we had to work a Homicide...he did well. I could always depend on Doran to have my back under any circumstance, and any other officer's for that matter. I was proud to have known Doran as a fellow officer, friend, and brother in Christ. "Dobie" will be truly missed. ~~Stan Easley (Lt. Ret. Baker Police)

Doran always, always brought a smile to the room, whether he was playing with my kids at the Range, or just teaching a class, he made everyone laugh. Very few people leave a legacy like Doran did, he really was a great man. Prayer of comfort to all those who love and miss him.

To all of Doran's family,

I am sorry to read of Doran's passing. I remember Doran when he would come into Wolf's Karate club and also when he would direct traffic at Bethany. My heart goes out to each of you during this very difficult time. May God wrap his loving arms around each of you to give you strength. Doran is now at peace and present with his precious daughter.
