To the family:
Thank you for sharing such a great man who was a friend and educator to the school system of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. I learned so much by simply observing his professionalism in handling any situation as I grew as an educator.
Keep your hands in the Master's hands and everything will be alright.

Keeping your family uplifted in prayer. I met Mr. Haynes in the early 80's as a student at Red Oaks Elementary and he was my guidance counselor. He told me, "Don't ever let anyone tell you what you can't do." Those words have stuck with me for years and as I walk across the stage this Friday at Southern to receive my Bachelor's degree, please know that he will be remembered with love. Look to the hills from where your help cometh and He will provide comfort. Thank you again to you all for sharing Mr. Haynes with the community. He is missed.

Dearest Liz:
Mere words could never adequately express my profound brotherly relationship with Vernell. We were like 2 little children loss in the snow, the laughs the jokes the fake fights the times he would say she hits me and the times I would let him threaten to buss my head to the white meat, all so funny so priceless so cute. That chapter of Football season season now closes yet I'm empowered that the new reason to thank God and lean on The Lord for strength during these last and evil days. My prayers continue as He restores, renews and revives us to higher heights deeper depths and wider widths. in Jesus Name. Thanks Liz for lovimg me for cherishing our friendship for so many years together.
with love always
