Russel passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Baton Rouge General at the age of 65. He was a Tool Room Attendant with Performance Contractors, a resident of Plaquemine and native of Bayou Sorrel, La. He was a US Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 5 to 9pm and will resume on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 8am to 9:30am with Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, celebrated by Father Greg Daigle. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Cynthia "Cindy" Poche Hebert; daughter, Trisha Hebert Messina and Michael Crochet; son, Rusty Hebert and wife Terynn; grandchildren, Drew and Kaleb Hebert, Brady Messina and Kali Crochet; brother, Shelby Hebert and wife Jean; and sister in law, Debbie Soldani and husband Mike. Preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Ruth Dupuy Hebert; sister, Rita Allen; and brothers, Floyd, Patrick and Dale Hebert. Pallbearers will be Rusty Hebert, Michael Crochet, Shelby Hebert, Michael Soldani, Kevin Ray, Randy Rodriguez, Dallas Hebert and Clem Carville.
