Allain, Rita Richard A homemaker and a resident of Port Allen, she died at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at River West Medical Center in Plaquemine. She was 92, born Jan. 16, 1913, in Opelousas. Visiting at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Allen, from 10 a.m. Thursday, March 3, until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Henry Vavasseur. Entombment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum, Brusly. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ory J. Allain, Port Allen; two sisters, Nell Jordan, Sealy, Texas, and Nola Mouille, Denham Springs; two devoted sisters-in-law, Iris LeJeune and Ione Rodriguez; and three brothers, Albert Richard, James Richard and Roland Richard, all of Opelousas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Finley and Nina Roy Richard; three sisters, Esther Fitzgerald, Hazel Ortego and Gladys Grubbs; three brothers, Charlie, Gervis and Edward Richard; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gus and Bertha Thibodeaux Allain. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening. Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, is in charge of arrangements.
