Tamir Rashadeen Obituary

Tamir Na'eem Rashadeen (George Green Jr.) passed away peacefully with his children surrounding him on January 08, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospice-The Carpenter House. He was born on July 15, 1947 to the late George Green Sr. and Alma Jack Green. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a passionate reader and loved to study and debate the topic of world religions. He is preceded in death by his parents and first grandson, Marlon Rashadeen. He is survived by his 7 children from his 31 year union to Sameerah Rashadeen-Castle. Children: Bekkah Rashadeen, Nadirah Rashadeen, Najla Rashadeen-Foulcard (Don Foulcard Jr.) Tahirah Rashadeen (Derrick Jones), Radhiya Rashadeen (Herbert Lewis Jr.), his only son Khalid Rashadeen all of Baton Rouge, LA and Teasa Rashadeen-Nelson (Ashley Nelson) of Jacksonville, FL. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at The Carpenter House, Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home, The Louisiana National Cemetery, cousin Irma Jean Landry, and the Baton Rouge Islamic community for the loving care and attention given to us and our father. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
