Faye Norwood (Mrs. Frank L. Norwood, Jr.) passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013, thirty-seven years to the day after the passing of her husband, Frank L. Norwood, Jr. A former resident of Baton Rouge, she resided in Norwood, LA for over 60 years. She was born on January 6, 1926 and passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Visitation will be at the Norwood Presbyterian Church, 13922 Elm Street in Norwood, on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 5pm until 8pm and then on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the church from 11am until funeral services at noon. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Norwood. She is survived by four daughters, Chrystal Lynnette Norwood Musgrove; Janis Lee Norwood Andrews and her husband Collin Adams Andrews II; Francelle Faye Norwood; and Lydia Dale Norwood Levert and her husband John Michael Levert. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Larry Charles "Chuck" Musgrove Jr., Christy Faye Musgrove King, Collin Adams "Andy" Andrews III, Adele Norwood Andrews Dalmau, Tara Leigh Lobrano Hayes, Thomas Emile Lobrano Jr., Clint Michael Levert, and Lydia Dale Levert "Lydale" Roberts; ten great-grandchildren: Larry Charles Musgrove III, Ken McDonald "Mackie" Musgrove, Molly Frances King, Mary Margaret "Maggie" King, Alexander George Dalmau II, Audrey Adele Dalmau, Emileigh "Emi" Katherine Hayes, Charles Kevin "Charlie" Hayes Jr., John Michael Levert II, and Andrew John "Drew" Roberts Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Frank L. Norwood Jr.; mother Allie Lee Rourke Talbert; father Wayne Talbert; brother Archie Leonard Talbert; five sisters: Lorrie Talbert Roccaforte, Mattie Louise Talbert Noto, Frances Talbert Lauer, Willie Margaret Talbert Dudding, and Elizabeth Josephine Talbert; and son-in-law Larry Charles Musgrove. Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School, where she received a scholastic scholarship to attend Louisiana State University. She was a member and elder of the Norwood Presbyterian Church. She was a long-time member of the Norwood Womens Club, the Norwood Presbyterian Women of the Church, and the Jackson Assembly. She was a lifetime member of the Louisiana Forestry Association, where, in 1997 she was chosen as the LA Tree Farmer of the Year.
