Condolences to Matt Batts and family. Matt played in Lynn with the Minor League Red Sox and hit .337. But he batted 1.000 with his wonderful wife.

Mr. Batts, Denise, I pray for God's comfort for you and your family during this time of grief. I remember holiday fireworks, Christmas tree bonfires, and learning to swim in your backyard pool there at the end of Judi Ave.

Our love to Mr. Batts, Dede, Susan and all the grandkids. We love Ms. Arleene, and we treasure all of the good times we had the privilege of sharing with her! It always seemed like she would outlive us all. Now she and my daddy can play some heavenly games of gin rummy, and they both win.

I worked on the Tech Field San Antonio scoreboard for the service league in WWII; Matt played right field for the Randolph Field team and taught us some good language when things didn't go well. I always wished I could get to know him. Condolences to all....
